The Internets is a Series of Tubes

I need to go through the posts and cross-reference them with the categories on the right sidebar some day. I have this nagging feeling that many posts can not be found under any of the current categories.

Today I added a new category for the web called the "Internets" to the top since I've been posting a lot about it lately. I think most people in the US are aware of how the term "Internets" came about but those of you reading me from overseas who are not familiar with our former president's language skills and technological prowess may not get it. I don't want to confuse or corrupt innocent world citizens out there. It's still the Internet and not the Internets.

There's also the US Senator who claimed that the internet is a series of tubes. Oh what a tragic error.. You can imagine the kind of jokes that's going to inspire. The Senator is talking on youtube and I quote:

"And again the internet is not something you just dump something on, it's not a big truck. It's a series of tubes! and if you don't understand those tubes can be filled and if they are filled, when you put your message, it gets in line, it's going to be delayed by anyone who puts into that tube enormous amounts of material"

I have no idea what he's trying to say. :)
